Mission Statement
EVHMC aims to provide a first class, safe, accessible, well maintained and well-presented village hall, to be used for social, recreational, educational and leisure activities with facilities which will be to the benefit of and meet the needs and desires of Evenley residents and hall’s users. EVHMC will endeavor to meet the hall’s annual running costs from the income from activities, including the occasional private or commercial events, providing this is in keeping with the interests of our own community. EVHMC will seek funds from donations, fund raising and grants to cover the cost of major capital projects to ensure the village asset is maintained and well presented.
Five Year Plan
Village hall trustees form the management committee (EVHMC), who are responsible for maintaining and managing the village hall as a community facility on behalf of Evenley residents. Evenley Parish Council hold the land in trust on the residents behalf and are known Custodial Trustee but, they have no responsibility for or input on the management of the village hall. As trustees can change over time, EVHMC produce a five year plan, to encompass all the important relevant information to manage the hall and set out the future management objectives. The plan covers areas such as how the village hall finances itself , how the hall meet its responsibilities as set out by the Charity Commission and how the hall meet the needs of users and the community. The first Five Year Plan commenced in November 2016 and can be found at Five Year Plan. The second Five Year plan, which commenced in 2022 can be found at Second Five Year Plan.
